Seasonal Attractions and Highlights of the Nasu Ropeway

Monthly Attractions and Highlights

May: The air is still cool, but gradually the plants and trees begin to bloom. The azaleas bloom and the mountains are decorated with beautiful colors.

June is the season when the mountains are overflowing with green. The scenery of lingering snow and alpine flora is a sight to behold. Photographed by Mr. Kazutaka Shida

July: The view from the ropeway is of fresh greenery, a carpet of greenery below, and a blue sky above. Photographed by Mr. Kazutaka Shida

[August] The cool air provides the perfect setting for a summer retreat with a spectacular view.

September: The signs of both summer and autumn can be felt, and plants and animals gradually begin to prepare for autumn. Although it is too early for the autumn leaves to turn red, flowers such as gentians are decorating the mountains.

October: The colors of green leaves, autumn leaves, and yellow leaves all over the area create a beautiful contrast. This is one of the best times of year to visit.

We hope you will enjoy the inspiring scenery that spreads out below you in each of the four seasons.
