Model Course 1: Collecting Castle Markers!
Local Bus Trip to Nanbu Clan's Residence (weekday only)
In the Hachinohe area, there are three historical sites that were the residence of the Nanbu clan in the Middle Ages, and each castle site issues an "ojo-in" (seal of the castle).
Who is the Nambu Clan?
The Nanbu clan hailed from Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi Prefecture) and were active as shogunate retainers in the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and moved their base to the northeastern part of Japan during the Nanbokucho period (1336-1392). The Sannobe and Nejo Nanbu (Hachinohe) clans, as well as the Kudo and Nitta clans, sometimes cooperated, sometimes opposed each other, and repeatedly fought for leadership. During the Warring States Period, Nobunao Nobunaga, the 26th head of the Nanbu family, who participated in the conquest of Odawara by the great military leader Hideyoshi Toyotomi, rallied his forces under the Sannobe clan and survived.
In Hachinohe City, there is a restored castle of the Nebu clan, Nebu Castle, which has been designated as a monument of historical significance and scenic beauty.

Let's think about the romance of the mysterious village while looking at the materials of those days.
We also sell original souvenirs that can only be purchased here.
Christ's tomb
In 1935, a spring theory that "Christ fled to Japan, came to Shingo Village (former Torai Village), and died at the age of 106" was found in the Takeuchi archives of the Takeuchi family in Ibaraki Prefecture. It is said that Mr. Takeuchi Geimaro, together with an ancient history researcher, Mr. Toriya Hatayama, and several others, visited the village and found Christ's tomb.
In a corner surrounded by green trees where tranquility reigns, there are two heaps of earth on which stand two crosses. Whether legend or truth, one is the tomb of Jesus Christ, who was supposedly crucified on the hill of Golgotha, and the other is the tomb of Iskiri, Christ's brother.
