Sado Island, Niigata, is attracting the most attention now that it has been registered as a World Heritage site.
Earth Celebration, a famous event in summer at Sado Island, is a music festival held by tfamous Taiko performing arts group "Kodo" and Sado City that connects the world to the rich natural setting of Sado Island.
This tour includes the Harbor Concert "Festival - Welcome to the Evening" on Sunday, August 18, the last day of the Earth Celebration, as well as a motorboat ride in Kotoura Cave, an underwater perspective boat in Senkaku Bay, and a visit to Kinzan (gold mine). We have planned a tour that allows you to fully enjoy the charms of Sado Island!
The name "Kodo," which operates Earth Celebration, is derived from the sound of the heartbeat, which is the basic rhythm of the human heart, as the sound of the large taiko drum reminds us of the first sound (heartbeat) heard in the mother's womb.

Day 1
2024 Earth Celebration Harbor Concert
This year marks the 37th Earth Celebration.
The "Celebration - Welcome to the Evening" that you can see on this tour is the finale stage of the 3-day performance. This year's guests, NAKIBEMBE EMBAIRE GROUP, will also participate. Let's feel the sound that you can only experience on Sado Island and only this summer with your whole body and get excited together.
Earth Celebration is a music festival held by the taiko performing arts group Kodo and Sado City to connect the world with the rich natural setting of Sado Island. Boarding a motorboat (Chikuya Kanko Kisen)
The course is the Kotoura Cave Course.
The cave was created by wave erosion and is so clear that you can see the bottom of the sea.

Senkakuwan Ageshima Yuen
Comparable to Hardanger Gorge Bay in Northern Europe - Senkaku Bay, one of the most scenic spots on Sado Island
You will board an underwater perspective boat at Senkakuwan Ageshima Yuen. You can look into the crystal clear sea through the glass bottom of the boat and watch the seagulls flying around the boat. *If the boat is cancelled due to stormy weather, you will only be allowed to enter the park.
Cheonkaku Bay is the collective name for five small bays that stretch along a 3-km stretch of coast from Himejin to Beitheki. It was named "Senkaku Bay" because of the beauty of its coastline, which is truly a counterpart to the East and West Seas, and is no less beautiful than Hardanger Bay in Norway, which has been called the best in the world. Historic Site Sado Gold Mine
Sado is also known as Sado Gold Mine. We will take you to the Sado Gold Mine, which was the catalyst for the creation of the existing culture and agriculture of Sado Island. You can choose either the Sotayu Kogen or Doyukogen course.
In the "Historic Site: Sado Gold Mine," numerous remains that tell the story of the long history of the mine from the Edo period through the Meiji period to the cessation of operations in the Heisei period remain everywhere, blending in with the rich natural surroundings.

Lunch on the first day at Fish Dojo (Nagahamaso) and lunch on the second day at Kyomachi-Tei
Lunch on the first day will be "Kaisen-don" at Uo Dojo (Nagahamaso). The restaurant is very popular for its large bowls of Kaisen-don, which are very photogenic, and having lunch while looking out over the magnificent Sea of Japan below is an exceptional experience.
*For those who do not like raw food, it is possible to change to the "Fried Shrimp Set Meal.
The second day will be "hamburger steak plate, turban shell escargot style" (with dessert) at Kyomachi-Tei in the Aikawa area (near Kin Ginzan).
Kyomachi-Tei is a restaurant with a spectacular view of Sado Aikawa. Inside the renovated old private house, you can feel the history of Sado Island.
