Gunma Prefecture is an inland prefecture located in the mountainous region of Honshu, and is famous for its hot springs and ski resorts. There are many unique hot spring resorts, including Kusatsu Onsen, Ikaho Onsen, Mizukami Onsen, Shima Onsen, and Manza Onsen, and it is said that there are more than 450 sources, with a wide variety of spring qualities.
Among them, Kusatsu Onsen, with its extensive hot spring fields, is one of the best hot spring resorts in Japan, and is highly regarded by many people for the quality of its springs.
The "Tomioka Silk Mill," registered as a World Heritage Site, and the "Gunma Safari Park," a popular spot for families, are also located in the area.
