We want to continue to draw a long-term sustainable transportation network on an endless road. To make this desire a reality, we continue to work with the field to transform transportation services on a daily basis, denying the past when necessary, while continuing to carry on good traditions.
Wide-area collaboration across the region is an effective means of achieving this, and the propagation and sharing of best practices is several times more effective than improvements made alone. Whether it is the constant optimization of the human resource system because of the importance of employee motivation, or capital investment to maintain and improve the quality of the transportation system, these efforts are based on wide-area collaboration.
In addition, with regard to the development of the tourism industry, which is the trump card for regional economies in an era of declining population, we have been engaged in transforming points (tourist destinations) into lines (tourist routes) through our transportation services. We will continue to provide high-quality travel opportunities to local customers while fulfilling a larger mission, including inbound tourism, with the spirit of being a driving force in the local tourism industry.
In this era of declining birthrates, an aging population, financial difficulties, and globalization, the optimization of transportation networks is an important factor in attracting outside investment, and the promotion of the tourism industry is a matter that will determine the rise and fall of the region. We are committed to the development, or at least the long-term sustainability, of the economies and societies of the regions where our transportation companies operate, and to the well-being of the employees and their families who work with us.
