Fukushima

Fukushima Prefecture is located in the southern Tohoku region and is popular among tourists for its historical sites, fruits, and hot springs.
Visitors can enjoy picking fresh fruits in each season, such as cherries in early summer, peaches in midsummer, pears and grapes in autumn, and apples and persimmons in early winter.
In addition, Tsurugajo Castle in Aizu Wakamatsu City is a must-see in spring, not only for the beautiful collaboration of the castle tower and cherry blossoms, with its contrasting red tiles on the pure white castle walls, but also for the castle town and cherry blossoms viewed from the top of the tower. In Aizu Wakamatsu City, there are sightseeing spots where visitors can learn about history, such as the Aizu Buke Yashiki, where visitors can experience the lifestyle of Aizu samurai families; Aizu Sazae-do, a mysterious building with an unusual structure with separate up and down stairs; and Iimoriyama, where the sad story of the Byakkotai (a legendary band of warriors who fought against the Japanese imperialists) took place.
There are also various spots that attract tourists, such as "Ouchi-juku," an inn town with thatched roofs that still exists, the Urabandai area where you can enjoy a magnificent view of mysterious lakes and marshes, and "Oku-Aizu," an unexplored region deep in the mountains.
