This historical theme park is centered on a facility that reconstructed the residence of Yoritomo Saigo, a retainer of 230,000 koku of the Aizu domain, and consists of historical houses and a museum, including important cultural properties of Fukushima Prefecture.

Tsurugajo Castle is said to be an impregnable castle that survived the onslaught of the new government forces during the Boshin War. The castle was rebuilt in September 1965, and in the spring of 2011, it became the only castle tower in Japan to be clad in tiles (red tiles) from the late Edo period.
The Tsurugajo Castle Keep was renovated in the spring of 2023. It has been reborn as a cultural tourist information "castle" where visitors can experience the "stories" hidden in history through digital technology and enjoy it with all five senses. Visitors can experience VR experiences that bring historical buildings back to life and stories hidden in history as if they have stepped back in time.

Aizu Sazae-do is a hexagonal three-story hall with a height of 16.5 m built in 1796 on Iimori Mountain in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. The official name is called "Entsu Sansodo. (The name designated as Important Cultural Property is "Old Shosokuji Sansodo-Do.)
The unique double spiral ramp along which the 33 images of the 33 Goddesses of Mercy of the Saigoku Kannon are enshrined was said to enable worshipers to visit the 33 Goddesses of Mercy by visiting this hall. The one-way structure, with completely separate up and down aisles, was adopted as a unique architectural style that allowed many worshippers to safely visit the temple without having to pass each other.
