Yamanashi Prefecture is located southwest of Tokyo. Hundreds of thousands of people a year visit the area to climb the paths that lead up the northern slopes of Mt.
Lake Yamanakako and Lake Kawaguchi, which were formed by the eruption of Mt. Fuji, and resorts are lined up around these lakes. Oshinohakkai, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the water mill and Mt. Fuji at the same time, is a superb photo spot.
Yamanashi Prefecture is also known for its peach and grape cultivation, and there are many wineries. About 80 unique wineries are scattered throughout the prefecture, and it is also the birthplace of Japanese wine.
Yamanashi Prefecture is popular as an attractive tourist destination where visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji, the symbol of Japan, and gourmet food.
