Travel Point 1: Okuwabara Azalea Garden
The park has two hills and a field, where 3,500 azaleas of about 100 varieties, 2,500 rhododendrons of about 50 varieties, and 50,000 peonies of about 50 varieties compete in magnificent blooms.
The flowers are at different times of the year, making this a popular tourist spot where visitors can enjoy a vivid relay of flowers, and the contrast of flowers can be enjoyed from late April to early June.
Travel Point 2: Sukagawa Peony Garden
On its 10 hectares of land, 7,000 peonies of 290 varieties are in full bloom. It is the only peony garden in Japan designated as a national place of scenic beauty.
Travel point 3) Hachimanya
Hachiman-ya is a hot-spring inn associated with Hachimantaro Yoshie and nurtured by the nature of the Abukuma Mountain Range. It is well known for its abundant hot spring water, mild spring water, two types of saunas, and fluffy towels.
The sauna is directly drawn from the source of Habatake Onsen, which is also known as a natural radon hot spring. Mabatake Onsen is a famous hot spring that has been called "Mabatake's three-day hot spring" since ancient times. Since around 1975, it has had a secret reputation among sumo wrestlers as the best treatment for sore muscles and joints.
