Approx. 6K walk, 3 hours, 500m elevation gain (walking time does not include breaks).
Mt. Karogadake, one of the 100 most famous mountains in Tohoku, is the highest mountain on the Funakoshi Peninsula. You can enjoy the beauty of the Sanriku coast while feeling the fresh sea breeze.
Scheduled bus: Iwate Kenpoku Bus or equivalent (Please refer to the "Charter Bus Companies" list on this website for bus companies of equivalent class.)
Please wear shoes, a sack, and clothing suitable for climbing on the day of the tour.
In addition to the tour guide, a guide will accompany the tour to provide reliable support.
The trip fee includes transportation and special domestic indemnity insurance.
The event will be held rain or shine. Please bring your own lunch. If bathing is included, please bring your own towel.
Please note that the itinerary may be changed due to weather or other reasons, that flowers and foliage viewing may not be available, and that there may be a delay in the return.
If the climbing guide/tour conductor determines that safety cannot be ensured due to inadequate climbing equipment or lack of physical strength, he/she may refuse your participation or ask you to stop climbing (dismount) even on the day of the climb.
