Explore the World Heritage Site of Kamakura!
This tour will visit popular Kamakura spots "Kamakura Daibutsu", "Hase-ji Temple", "Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine", and finally stroll along "Komachi-dori Street".
Kotokuin Temple (Great Buddha of Kamakura)
Known as the Great Buddha of Kamakura, Kotokuin Temple (Kamakura Daibutsu) is synonymous with sightseeing in Kamakura.
The Daibutsu stands 11.31 m tall (13.35 m if the pedestal is included) and weighs approximately 121 tons. Casting of the present gold and steel Buddha began in 1252 (Kencho 4), and it is the only Buddha statue designated as a national treasure in Kamakura.
Hase Temple
This ancient temple is said to have existed before the Kamakura period.
The main statue, the eleven-faced Kannon, is 9.18 meters high and is said to be one of the largest wooden Buddhist statues in Japan. On the flat land where the Kannon Hall stands, there is a viewing platform from which visitors can look out over the sea of Kamakura and the town of Hase, and even the Miura Peninsula.
As a "temple of flowers," the temple grounds are decorated with seasonal flowers throughout the year, and the walkway overlooking Yuigahama beach becomes a magnificent "hydrangea path" in early summer.
Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, also known as Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine, is located in Yukinoshita, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
It was founded in the late 11th century as a guardian deity of the Minamoto clan, and thereafter became the guardian deity of the Kamakura samurai.
As a shrine associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate, it is a popular spot with a constant stream of visitors.
There is also a museum and a café on the premises, where visitors can enjoy tea time while admiring the spectacular view.
Komachi-dori
THIS STREET RUNS PARALLEL TO WAKAMIYA-OJI AVENUE FROM THE EAST EXIT OF JR KAMAKURA STATION TO TSURUGAOKA HACHIMAN SHRINE, AND OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF SHOPPING, DINING, AND CAFÉ OPTIONS, FROM TRADITIONAL SOUVENIRS AND FASHION GOODS TO RESTAURANTS.

Departing from Shinjuku, we will head toward Haneda on the Metropolitan Expressway.

After crossing the Rainbow Bridge, you will enter the Tokyo Bay Aqualine near Haneda Airport.
The Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line is a 15.1 km long toll road for automobiles that crosses the center of Tokyo Bay, connecting Kisarazu and Kawasaki on the opposite shore in 15 minutes. The 4.4 km from Kisarazu is a bridge and the 9.5 km from Kawasaki is a tunnel, and Umihotaru (Kisarazu man-made island) is located at the junction of the bridge and tunnel.
Umihotaru" is a spectacular spot with a view of Mt.
Arrive at Umihotaru, a parking area in the middle of Tokyo Bay.

After crossing the Aqualine and entering Chiba Prefecture, you will head for Mt. Sawtooth Mountain is a low mountain, 330 meters above sea level, but you can easily climb to the top via a ropeway.

After lunch, board the Tokyo Bay Ferry from Kanaya Port for a 40-minute boat ride.
Crossing Tokyo Bay by ferry, Kurihama ((Kanagawa Prefecture).
Board the bus again for the drive to the World Heritage Site of Kamakura.
After sightseeing in Kamakura, take the bus again to Shinjuku. Enjoy a drive through the skyscrapers of central Tokyo.
