On the second day, take the Sanriku Railway to the north, and stop at the "Marine Rose Park Noda Tamagawa," a mine where gemstones lie! The park is one of 17 Jomon sites in four prefectures in Hokkaido and the northern Tohoku region that have been registered as World Heritage sites. A museum has also been established in the park, so visitors can learn more about the Jomon period.

Located in the center of Sanriku Reconstruction National Park and Sanriku Geopark, Jodogahama is a representative scenic spot of Miyako. A forest of sharply pointed white drift rocks adorn the shore, each one with a different expression. The contrast between the green of the pine trees, the white of the rock surface, and the deep blue of the sea is truly worth seeing. The name "Jodogahama" is said to have been given by Ryuko Reikyō (died in 1727), the seventh head priest of Jōan-ji Temple at Miyakozan, during the Tenwa period (1681-1683), when he marveled that the place was "just like the Pure Land of Paradise.

The Noda Tamagawa Mine, once one of the largest manganese deposits in Japan, is now open to the public as a sightseeing tunnel. Visitors are greeted by "MANGAN BOYz," mannequin underground idols who have come from 400 meters underground. In addition to recreating mining operations with machines and dolls, various gemstones, minerals, and even fossils from around the world are on display. Visitors can purchase marine rose jewelry and natural stones at the museum store.

This small winery was established in 2016 in Noda Village, where many mountain grapes grow wild and have been carefully nurtured one by one for centuries. The establishment of the winery was made possible by the support of various organizations and supporters from all over Japan in the wake of the earthquake disaster, and the winery was established entirely through the efforts of the private sector, from the preparation of the winery. The winery uses high quality mountain grapes grown by local farmers, brewed by a local sommelier, and all work and management is done by hand, always facing the mountain grapes and putting in a lot of time and effort.

Depart from Kuji Station at 12:50 p.m. and take a cab to Moguranpia, arriving at 13:05 p.m.

The Moguranpia Aquarium is the main facility of the Kuji Underground Water Science Museum Moguranpia. The exhibits condense the sea of Kuji, and introduce the bright life of the abundant sea creatures of Sanriku, as well as the wisdom of the people of Kuji, who have lived in the sea, through "Nanbu Moguri" and "Divers of the Northern Limit". In the exhibition room of the administration building, there is also an exhibition corner featuring "Sakana-kun," a man who has been supporting the recovery efforts since the earthquake. The Moguranpia Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world where visitors can see underwater diving operations of "Nanbu Moguri" and "Northernmost Divers" using helmet-type diving apparatus. Please come and see the splendid skills of the Sanriku divers who have lived together with the sea. Diving demonstrations are held on weekends, holidays, and other specific dates.

At Michi no Eki Kuji, fresh fish and agricultural products from Kuji City are sold directly, and there is also an "amber accessories store" that is unique to Kuji, which is famous for its amber production.

The name "2door" is derived from "two doors," and also means "Nanbu Senbei and chocolate" or "tradition and fusion," and is truly a new door to the next stage. In 2door, visitors can observe the manufacturing process of chocolate products. Nanbu Senbeino Iwateya's "Jisuke Kobo Shikinosato" adjacent to the Iwate Senbeino Iwateya main factory serves local cuisine from the Nanbu region. At "Shikinosato", the soba produced in Iwate Prefecture is hand-shelled, hand-pressed with stone-pulverized flour, and only the soba made that day is served. Tempura is also popular for its crispy batter.

It is not only the food, but also the warmth of the hometown. Please enjoy the spirit of the South at Shiki no Sato.

The Goshono Ruins were finally registered as a World Cultural Heritage site! The Goshono Ruins are one of 17 Jomon sites in 4 prefectures in Hokkaido and the northern Tohoku region that have been registered this time. The Goshono Jomon Park is dotted with pit dwellings, and a museum has been established to allow visitors to learn more about the Jomon period.
